I bought this product from one week and I can say I’m quite satisfied. With only 200 € I have a phone with almost everything you need: quadband, HSDPA / UMTS (I have not tested yet), Wi-Fi, GPS.
I managed to easily connect to wireless networks, including the office that has the LEAP protocol and access to google mail (easy) and other email accounts. The Market is provided and there are a lot of very useful free software applications. For web browsing I have installed Dolphin and usability and browsing experience is excellent: with the touch screen you can read pages in a very decent. I also installed fring and then away with VoIP calls and Skype without any problems! Since I also installed WiFinder market, which greatly facilitates the search and configuration of wifi networks. As navigator I found an opensource AndNav2, which can be very useful for hiking enthusiasts: it’s a sw PC that lets you download maps from Google’s part that interested and upload to the phone (the charge is an operation freak, but in Internet guides are very easy to follow). The phone in my possession is white with blue back cover. As a proud owner of Sasmung Star, I got to try for a few days his “brother”: the Samsung Halley. Strengths:

I honestly have not noticed many differences in the use of two devices. Perhaps The Star should do a little more pressure. Again, the difference is almost imperceptible.

3 – Mobile-looking compact and robust. The materials used seem very good.

4 – Fast software. It ‘really is amazing how smooth the move from one operation to another. Therefore excellent management system. Does not give any kind of “crashed” applications.

7 – 3.2MP camera of decent quality. Amazing flash, missing in the Star, for photo night lights very much. Too bad there is no autofocus.

8 – Video and photos of good quality. Maybe a little low “frame rate”.

9 – Audio in very good call, good videos.

10 – Receiving good signal.

Points ‘weak’

1 – As the Star has no wifi. I honestly do not know what to do. Surfing with the phone is not something that interests me, I have a notebook and a netbook. 3.2 Mpixels are still few to appreciate the web. In any case, since UMTS, for those interested in web browsing should work properly.
2 – 2.8-inch display a little bit: I was genuinely surprised by this “sin.” E ‘wider and shorter than the Star. Feature that I was disappointed.
